Br. Martin Sanderson O.F.M.Cap and Br. Martin Mikuskiewicz O.F.M.Cap have made their perpertual profession into the hands of their Provincial Minister Br. James Boner O.F.M.Cap on the 12th September 2009. The joyous celebration took place at the church of St. Edmund of Abingdon and St. Frideswide, the parish church which is looked after by the British Province of the Capuchin Order.
" The decision to make a life long commitment to being a friar is
never an easy one. It requires a long process of discernment for
everyone concerned. We entered the Order six years ago and throughout
that time we have been continuously formed into our way of life. Having
lived with the friars for such a long time enables us to see if this is
the kind of life we wish to live, and it also allows the friars to make
their judgement as to our suitability for this life. It's been a long
road for the two of us, full of challenges, joys and sorrows, and
surprises - just like in any family. We both feel that this is now our
family, and along with our brothers we will endeavour to do God's will
in our lives." Br. Martin Mikuskiewicz O.F.M.Cap
